YURI FEDOROV

Yuri Fedorov was born
in 1949 in Ternopil, Ukraine (then
USSR). He graduated from People's University
of Art, Moscow, in 1972. His art works
have been influenced mostly by modernism,
and by Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dali
in particular. Paintings of Yuri Fedorov
are included in the permanent collection
of the Ternopil Gallery of Art. He
has had five exhibits in his hometown,
and in 1998 he exhibited his works
in Ried, Austria. Paintings of Yuri
Fedorov can be found in private collections
in Ukraine, Russia, USA, Austria, and
Netherlands.
The paintings of Yuri
Fedorov follow the original style which
the artist named accentuism. The focus
of his paintings is in expressing human
emotions, feelings and music, interleaved
with each other. Yuri Fedorov uses
various techniques in his art, but
primarily it is oil on canvas and chalk
and pastel on paper. The artist has
a number of artistic series, which
represent most of his work. In particular,
these are "Day and Night", "My
Circus", "The Artist and
The Model", "The Rise of
Jazz".
Yuri Fedorov has never
visited USA, and his paintings are
presented by his son, Andriy Fedorov,
who is a student at William&Mary, and
